Numbness
John Carbone
My name is John Carbone. For the last four years, I have suffered
from severe sciatic nerve pain that radiated into my right leg and
foot. This condition was causing numbness in my legs make it very
difficult to walk. My family practitioner prescribed pain medications
and muscle relaxers which only covered up the pain. I was also treated
by a traditional chiropractor who provided little relief—usually
more pain. All this at a cost of about $4,000.
Dr. Salminen was able to find the true problem that was causing
my pain. After being treated only a few times with the NUCCA technique,
I received great relief. Now I can do just about everything, including
exercising and playing with my kids without pain. Unexpectedly,
I am getting proper sleep and just feeling better.
Dr. Salminen is a very caring doctor and explains everything thoroughly.
He is a must see— I have told many people about my situation
and how the NUCCA treatment has helped me. I would recommend anyone
to see him before they see a surgeon.

I suffer from an L5/S1 herniated disc. I had an ‘onset’
of severe pain which kept me bedridden for one whole month. I had
severe sciatica nerve impingement with numbness and pain shooting
down my entire right leg. It was excruciatingly painful and debilitating.
I was headed to surgery when Dr. Salminen recommended that I try
Upper Cervical care.
I rescheduled the surgery (6 weeks out—incase I still needed
it) and began a series of alternative treatments which included
treatments from Dr. Salminen. Over the next few weeks my physical
pain began to diminish and my activity level increased. As Dr. Salminen
treated me, he also educated me. I became more aware of when I was
properly adjusted or needed to be adjusted.
When I went to see my neurosurgeon 6 weeks later, I though I would
still need surgery, as I still felt slight nerve pain. However,
the neurosurgeon reported…”It appears that your more
conservative treatments have made progress.” Additionally,
he recommended that I not have surgery, but continue the path I
was on.
In addition to not having surgery, the biggest changes I attribute
to Upper Cervical care are: 1) My activity level has increased,
2) Nerve pain in my right leg has decreased, 3) I am aware of my
body alignment, and 4) I feel an overall wellness when I am properly
aligned.
In January of 2000, my MRI films showed my L5/S1 herniation to
be severe. I had a follow up MRI in June of 2000, which shows the
severity of the herniation to have diminished drastically.
I am very thankful for the Upper Cervical treatments, which have
contributed to my healing. Thank you Dr. Salminen!!
